Paphos-Polis Freeway
The Paphos to Polis freeway has been approved.
The new road will greatly reduce travel time between the towns and all the villages en-route. The route will run from around the Paphos airport exit on the existing freeway towards Tsada, Stroumpi and Giolou and then parallel to the existing road along Golden Valley all the way to the northeast side of Polis and intersecting with the coast road to Pomos and Argaka.
It currently takes 30-40 minutes to travel from Paphos to Polis or vice-versa and they are 40 kilometres apart. The existing road is well maintained and the approximate halfway point is Stroumpi where there is a petrol station. En-route to Polis there are several restaurants and supermarkets and it is a very picturesque and tranquil drive through the countryside.
For those of you looking to relocate to a countryside home between Paphos and Polis, we strongly urge you to contact us or the Town Planning department who will identify the exact location of the new freeway and its proximity to any property or land you are considering.
